Nghi Loc: Rabies vaccination for 13,700 dogs

(Baonghean.vn)- In response to the situation of people being bitten by rabid dogs in many localities, these days Nghi Loc district has organized rabies vaccination for dogs in 30 communes and towns.

In this vaccination campaign, the entire district organized vaccination for over 13,700 dogs. Before that, in order to achieve good results in the vaccination, the district informed the communes about the vaccination plan, and at the same time organized mobile propaganda in the area to mobilize people to raise awareness and understanding of rabies vaccination for dogs, contributing to protecting the health of pets and limiting the spread of disease in the community.

Along with that, the district steering committee requires the drastic participation of local authorities, each cadre and party member must be exemplary in implementing rabies vaccination for their family's livestock.

Currently, the District Veterinary Station has received 3,000 doses of rabies vaccine for dogs from the Provincial Veterinary Department and 10 communes have received vaccines to implement vaccination. Of which, Nghi Phuong commune has basically completed this work with 570 dogs vaccinated against rabies.

Nghi Loc strives to complete rabies vaccination for dogs in 2017 before April 10.
