The suspect in the murder of the kindergarten teacher is the head of the commune's police force.

In the case of the murder of a kindergarten teacher whose body was placed in a sack and hidden in a garbage dump, the suspect has been identified as Pham Van Thong, the police chief of Dong Luong commune.

According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police: On November 15th, the Criminal Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province, in coordination with Lang Chanh District Police, investigated, clarified, and arrested Pham Van Thong (born in 1972, residing in Dong Luong Commune, Lang Chanh District), a suspect in the murder and concealment of a body at the Dong Luong Commune landfill.

According to initial investigations, the incident stemmed from a personal conflict between Ms. Le Thi Tam (born in 1974, residing in Tan Thuy village, Tan Phuc commune, Lang Chanh district) and Pham Van Thong. On the evening of November 10th, Thong used his motorbike to take Ms. Tam to a landfill in Dong Luong commune, where he strangled her to death with a woolen scarf. Afterwards, Thong put the body in a sack and buried it at a landfill about 500 meters away.

On November 12th, when Tấm didn't return home, her family went to the school to look for her and reported the incident to the police.

As previously reported, on the evening of November 14th, some local residents collecting scrap discovered a decomposing body in a sack at the Đồng Lương commune landfill and reported it to the authorities.

It is known that Ms. Le Thi Tam is currently a teacher at Tam Van Kindergarten.

The Criminal Investigation Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police has issued a temporary detention order against Pham Van Thong for the crime of murder, and is continuing to investigate the case.
