The third suspect in the illegal dumping of waste into the Da River has turned himself in.
According to the Hoa Binh Provincial Police, Ly Dinh Vu (37 years old, residing in Xuan Lam commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province) has surrendered in connection with the dumping of waste oil into the Da River.
On the afternoon of October 20th, the Hoa Binh Provincial Police were carrying out investigative measures to obtain statements and verify the incident.
Ly Dinh Vu is the third suspect in the case of dumping waste into the Da River water source. Previously, on October 18, the Hoa Binh Provincial Police urgently detained Hoang Van Tham (born in 1986, residing in Van Quan, Lang Son) and Nguyen Chuong Dai (born in 1994, residing in Bac Ninh province).

Thám and Đại confessed that on October 6th, they were hired by Lý Đình Vũ to drive a truck from Bắc Ninh to Thanh Hà brick and ceramics company in Phú Thọ town (Phú Thọ province) to collect waste, pump it into 10 containers with a total capacity of approximately 10m3, and then drive back to Chí Đạo commune, Văn Lâm district, Hưng Yên province to park the truck.
On October 8th, all three used two cars to transport waste to Phuc Tien commune (Ky Son district, Hoa Binh province) to illegally dump it before fleeing.
According to initial investigation documents, the two suspicious vehicles involved in the case are managed by Minh Phuong Trading and Tourism Transport Company Limited (Bac Ninh), and the owner of the four-seater car is Nguyen Van Quyen (residing in Hung Yen province).

The investigative police agency is coordinating with functional units of the Ministry of Public Security to determine the responsibility of the collectives and individuals involved in handling the polluted water source supplying Hanoi.
