The third suspect in the Da River water dumping case turned himself in
Hoa Binh Provincial Police said that Ly Dinh Vu (37 years old, residing in Xuan Lam commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh) turned himself in for his involvement in the case of dumping waste oil into the Da River.
On the afternoon of October 20, Hoa Binh Provincial Police are taking professional measures to take statements and verify the incident.
Ly Dinh Vu is the third suspect in the case of dumping waste into the Da River water source. Previously, on October 18, Hoa Binh Province police temporarily detained Hoang Van Tham (born in 1986, residing in Van Quan, Lang Son) and Nguyen Chuong Dai (born in 1994, residing in Bac Ninh Province).

Tham and Dai khai, on October 6, were hired by Ly Dinh Vu to drive a truck from Bac Ninh to Thanh Ha brick and ceramic company in Phu Tho town (Phu Tho) to collect waste, pump it into 10 containers with a total capacity of about 10m3, then go to Chi Dao commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen to park the vehicle.
On October 8, all three people used two cars to transport waste to Phuc Tien commune (Ky Son, Hoa Binh province) to dump it illegally and then fled.
According to initial investigation documents, the two cars suspected of being involved in the case are managed by Minh Phuong Tourism and Transport Trading Company Limited (Bac Ninh), the owner of the 4-seat car is Nguyen Van Quyen (residing in Hung Yen province).

The police investigation agency is coordinating with functional units of the Ministry of Public Security to determine the responsibility of groups and individuals involved in handling the polluted water source supplied to Hanoi.
