| Nghia Long Commune Market (Nghia Dan District) was built on a plot of land exceeding 2,000 m2 in Nam Loc hamlet. This is one of the projects under the Community-Based Rural Infrastructure Project, using funding from the World Bank (WB) and counterpart funds from Nghe An province. Opened in January 2006, Nghia Long Market has not been as effective as expected. In the early years, the market had only sporadic trading activity, which gradually dwindled. | Mr. Truong Cong Thuyen, Chairman of the Nghia Long Commune People's Committee, said that for more than three years, the Nghia Long commune market has been completely dead, with no trading activity whatsoever; the Nghia Long commune's New Rural Development plan did not include the construction of a market as a criterion. In the future, the people of this commune will go to the town market (which will be built according to the provincial plan) and markets in neighboring communes.
