(Baonghean.vn) - During the 2015-2016 crushing season, the total sugarcane output of Nghe An sugar factories was 623,278 tons. Of this, Nghia Dan district was the largest supplier with 274,161 tons.

Farmers in Nghia Dan are tending to their sugarcane crops for the new crushing season.

For the 2016-2017 crushing season, Nghe An Sugar Factory Company (NASU) aims to increase productivity, with a crushing output of approximately 560,000 tons. Regarding the 2015-2016 crop year, the sugarcane area in Nghia Dan district decreased compared to the 2014-2015 crop year, but the estimated yield reached 55 tons/ha and the estimated output reached 415,250 tons.

In 2016, Nghia Dan district had 41 households participating in the construction of disease-free seed production fields with a total area of ​​33 hectares and implemented the construction of 13 large-scale model sugarcane fields in Nghia Lac, Nghia Yen, Nghia Lien communes, etc.

To ensure stable development of the raw material area, increase sugarcane productivity and revenue for households and the company, sugarcane growers in Nghia Dan have signed economic contracts with the factory to ensure mutual benefit.
