Nghia Hong commune receives certificate recognizing it as a New Rural Area.
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 23rd, the Party Committee, government, and people of Nghia Hong commune, Nghia Dan district, solemnly held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the commune as having achieved the National New Rural Standard in 2015.
Attending the ceremony were Comrade Vi Luu Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province, Chief of the Provincial Coordination Office for the National Target Program on Building New Rural Areas; Comrade Vi Van Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghia Dan district; leaders at the district and local levels, and a large number of people from all walks of life in Nghia Hong commune.

Nghia Hong commune covers 1,620 hectares across 14 hamlets and has a population of over 5,000 people. The Party Committee has 18 branches with 311 Party members, possessing the comparative advantage of a large agricultural commune with a high level of education among its population. The commune was the 5th locality in Nghia Dan district to achieve the new rural development goals in 2015. After more than four years of implementation, with the decisive efforts of the entire political system and the unanimous support of the people, the face of Nghia Hong's rural area has undergone positive changes.
The total resources for building new rural areas amounted to over 321 billion VND, of which 154 billion VND came from the people's contributions. All 14 hamlets have completed planning and construction of cultural centers and sports facilities that meet standards. Along with mobilizing the people's internal resources, the commune also maximized investment capital and encouraged successful children working away from home to contribute to the development of their homeland.

Thanks to a comprehensive focus on economic development, people's living standards have improved significantly, with average income increasing and the poverty rate decreasing to 1.55%. Average per capita income in 2015 reached over 21 million VND; 93% of working-age people have regular employment. The percentage of families recognized as "cultural families" is over 84%, 11 out of 14 hamlets have been recognized as "cultural villages," and 3 out of 4 schools meet national standards. The political system remains stable, and the rural landscape is improving day by day.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Vi Luu Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province, congratulated and praised the achievements of the Party Committee and people of Nghia Hong commune, and expressed his hope that the commune would build upon these achievements, unite, work together, and continuously improve and enhance the quality of its development to sustainably achieve the set criteria and build an increasingly prosperous commune.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals; the District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the movement to jointly build new rural areas.
