Thai purple corn is highly productive in Vinh City.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 11th, the Vinh City People's Committee organized a field workshop to evaluate the production model of Fancy 111 purple corn variety in the 2015 winter crop in Nghi An commune.
Attending the event were Comrade Vo Viet Thanh, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; leaders of suburban communes of the city; agricultural cooperatives; and residents of Nghi An commune.

This corn variety grows in 70 days, covering an area of 500 square meters.2Using 0.5 kg of seeds, the crop yields approximately 1000 ears of corn per sao (a unit of land measurement). Selling at 4000 VND per ear at the field, the estimated revenue is 5-6 million VND per sao. After deducting costs for seeds, fertilizers, etc., the profit per sao ranges from 2,800,000 VND to 3,000,000 VND.
