British Foreign Secretary calls for an end to the defamation of Russia.

During a meeting with US lawmakers, British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson called for an end to the defamation of Russia.

According to Johnson, with regard to Moscow, London and Washington should pursue a strategy of "engagement and vigilance."

"We have noted to the new administration and parliament that it would be madness to vilify Russia or to corner it," the Foreign Minister said.

Boris Johnson made official visits to New York and Washington, where he held several meetings with Donald Trump's advisors and members of the U.S. Congress.
