At the age of 62, the veteran international screen actor received an honorary Oscar for his contributions to the film industry. The honorary Oscar is awarded by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the same organization behind the most prestigious award in international cinema – the Oscar.

This event took place on November 12th at the Governors Awards – a separate event dedicated to honoring the career contributions of individuals working in the film industry.

Previously, the awarding of honorary Oscars usually took place during the Academy Awards ceremony in February, but since 2009, this award ceremony has been held separately, in November each year, called the Governors Awards.

At the official Oscar ceremony next February, a video clip summarizing the Governors Awards will be shown on a large screen as a reminder. Standing alone, the Governors Awards are becoming increasingly important and significant in the international film industry.

The Governors Awards ceremony, also held in Hollywood, is dedicated to honoring individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields of the film industry.

The president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, stated that this year's honorary Oscar recipients are "pioneers, true legends in their fields with extraordinary achievements."

Jackie Chan accepted his honorary Oscar award. The person presenting the golden statuette was none other than the former star of action films – the actor known for "Rambo," Sylvester Stallone.

The person presenting the Oscar – actor Sylvester Stallone (70 years old) – was a very logical and interesting choice by the organizers, as he himself had been nominated three times for the Oscar for his famous role as boxer Rocky Balboa in the Rocky film series (1976-2015).

Additionally, Sylvester Stallone is known for his role as John Rambo in the Rambo film series (1982-2008), and as Barney Ross in the "Expendables" film series (2010-2014).

The two renowned action movie stars delivered a very stylish Oscar presentation on stage, with Sylvester Stallone raising Jackie Chan's arm as if introducing a newly victorious fighter.

In his acceptance speech, Jackie Chan shared a very honest yet humorous sentiment: "After 56 years in the film industry, acting in over 200 films, and breaking many bones, this golden statue is finally mine!"
