The school in the flood-affected area of Con Cuong gets a "new look" to welcome children in the 2025-2026 school year.
During Typhoon No. 3, Chi Khe Kindergarten (Con Cuong commune) was submerged in mud. Now, thanks to the combined efforts of teachers, parents, and local authorities, the school has been given a "new look" and is bustling with preparations to welcome the new school year.

The recent Typhoon No. 3 caused severe flooding in many localities across the western communes of Nghe An province. Chi Khe Kindergarten, commune...Con CuongIt is one of the schools that suffered the most damage from the storms and floods.
During the storm, the entire campus, classrooms, and playground of Chi Khe Kindergarten were flooded and covered in thick mud. Facilities and teaching equipment were severely damaged, significantly impacting teaching and childcare.

After the storm, with the joint support of parents and local authorities, the entire staff, teachers, and employees of the school overcame difficulties and quickly recovered from the aftermath of the storm and floods.
Prior to the start of the 2025-2026 school year, the Chi Khe Kindergarten has basically completed its work in recovering from the storm and floods and preparing for the new school year. Ms. Duong Thi Nhu, Deputy Principal of Chi Khe Kindergarten, said: "Immediately after the water receded, the school promptly cleaned and disinfected all classrooms, playgrounds, and learning materials."

The damaged areas of Chi Khe Kindergarten were promptly repaired and redecorated by parents, thanks to the school's efforts. Now, all basic conditions are met, ready for the children to begin the new school year in a safe, clean, and beautiful environment.
Ahead of the new school year, many parents of Chi Khe Kindergarten actively participated with the school in overcoming the consequences of the storm and floods. Ms. Vi Thi Dung, a parent with a 5-year-old child, shared: "After the storm, seeing the school flooded with mud, we were very worried; therefore, when we saw the teachers and local authorities urgently cleaning up, we voluntarily came to help. Now, the school is clean and beautiful."

In the 2025-2026 school year, Chi Khe Kindergarten will have 260 children enrolled. With the spirit of overcoming difficulties after the natural disaster, the teachers and students here are full of determination and enthusiasm as they enter the new school year, continuing to improve the quality of nurturing, caring for, and educating children.

In the coming time, the commune will continue to pay attention to helping the school best fulfill its tasks for the 2025-2026 school year.
