Fishermen in Nghe An province caught 5 flagtail fish weighing 100 kg each.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of June 18th, a fishing boat belonging to fisherman Nguyen Thanh An from Minh Thanh village, Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An province) caught 5 flagtail fish weighing over 100 kg.

The fishing boat numbered NA - 9333 TS, owned by fisherman Nguyen Thanh An, was fishing in the eastern sea when it unexpectedly discovered five large barramundi caught in its net. An and his crew quickly pulled the nets and hauled the fish onto the boat.

According to the fishermen's estimates, each fish was about 2 meters long and weighed 20.5 kg. It is known that this type of fish currently sells for 50,000 - 80,000 VND/kg on the market. Due to their large size, the crew members had a hard time bringing the five fish onto the boat; immediately afterward, the fish were placed in the ship's hold and refrigerated to ensure freshness.
