Observations showed that every boat had nets full of fish, so the locals mobilized extra manpower to help unload the fish in time to sell them to traders.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duong, the owner of a fishing boat in Quynh Nghia commune, said that he went out to sea at 3 a.m. this morning and returned to shore at 6:30 a.m. This trip was very successful, with a bountiful catch of tuna in the offshore waters; all three nets were full of tuna.

According to Mr. Duong, this was his luckiest trip since Tet (Lunar New Year), with an estimated catch of over 100 kg of tuna, bringing in over 10 million VND in income, while fuel costs were only around 200,000 - 300,000 VND.
Besides barracuda, fishermen also catch herring, mackerel, scad, snapper, sea bass, etc., which are highly valuable, fetching over 100,000 VND/kg.
