Mr. Ho Van Luan's boat from Hamlet 2, Quynh Nghia Commune (Quynh Luu District) has just docked after a 9-day fishing trip, catching 50 tons of various types of fish. Mr. Luan excitedly said: “This is the season for tuna, mackerel, scad, and silverfish... This trip brought in nearly 500 million VND for our boat, with each worker receiving an average of 10-15 million VND.”
In recent days, many fishermen in the communes of Quynh Nghia, Tien Thuy, Quynh Long, etc., have had a very successful fishing season. The prices of various seafood are quite stable, with tuna priced at 90-110 thousand VND/kg, mackerel at 30-40 thousand VND/kg, and anchovies at 10-12 thousand VND/kg...

As a result, this time, each fishing vessel earned an average of about 200-250 million VND, with some larger vessels earning billions of VND.
Mr. Bui The Ky, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Nghia commune, said: "Compared to previous months, the catch of fishing boats in the commune has increased, with many local fishing boats earning 700-800 million VND per month. In the early days of the low-pressure system, which caused strong winds at sea, most fishermen in Quynh Nghia had a very successful catch. But now, with rough seas and heavy rain, 100% of the fishing boats have returned to port safely."
