Falling asleep during the Real Madrid-PSG match, the commentator paid a heavy price.

The Mirror reported that a Chinese commentator was fired by LeTV for falling asleep while broadcasting the Real Madrid vs. Paris Saint Germain Champions League match.

Due to the time difference between Spain and China, the Real Madrid vs. PSG match took place late at night in Asian time, at 3:45 AM. Presumably for this reason, commentator Dong Lu dozed off while broadcasting the game.

Ideally, the commentator could have fooled television viewers because his co-commentator in the studio was trying to fill in for him. Unfortunately, the other commentator snored loudly, and his colleague had no way of concealing it.

Metro even posted a video of the Real-PSG match up to the 79th minute, at which point viewers could clearly hear commentator Dong Lu snoring. Following this incident, Dong Lu was fired. Many people speculated that he might have fallen asleep due to exhaustion, or perhaps because the Real-PSG match was simply too boring.
