On May 4, on the 17th floor of Petroland building (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City), the Department of High-Tech Crime Prevention (C50, Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with An Giang Provincial Police to arrest Nguyen Thi Kheo (34 years old, from An Giang) - Deputy Director of Asian Livetech Software Services Company Limited.

Ms. Kheo is suspected of leading a huge online gambling ring, possibly worth thousands of billions of dong.

At the same time, another reconnaissance team also searched another branch of this company in An Giang province, seizing many machines, documents... believed to be confiscated evidence. Some related people were also arrested.

This move was made after the Ministry of Public Security had been monitoring Khéo’s online gambling ring for a long time. The betting was done through the website ibet789.com, with the server located in Cambodia.

According to the investigation, Asian Livetech operates under the guise of a software and advertising company, but in reality, Kheo operates gambling in Vietnam. Participants must deposit money into their accounts, then place bets in many forms such as football betting, lottery...

The amount of money transacted in players' accounts in Vietnam through this website is said to be up to thousands of billions of dong.
