On May 4th, at the 17th floor of the Petroland building (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City), the Department of Cybercrime Prevention and Control (C50, Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with the An Giang Provincial Police to arrest Nguyen Thi Kheo (34 years old, from An Giang) - Deputy Director of Asian Livetech Software Services Co., Ltd.

Ms. Khéo is suspected of leading a massive online gambling ring, potentially worth trillions of Vietnamese dong.

At the same time, another reconnaissance team searched another branch of the company in An Giang province, seizing numerous machines and documents believed to be evidence. Several people involved were also arrested.

This move comes after the Ministry of Public Security had been monitoring Khéo's online gambling ring for a long time. The betting took place through the website ibet789.com, with servers located in Cambodia.

According to the investigation, Asian Livetech operated under the guise of a software and advertising company, but in reality, it ran a gambling operation in Vietnam. Participants had to deposit money into an account and then place bets through various forms such as football betting and lottery.

The amount of money transacted in players' accounts in Vietnam through this website is estimated to reach trillions of dong.
