People burned down a Fortuner car because they suspected it was a child kidnapper.

The incident occurred in Hong Lac commune, Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province on the evening of July 20. Authorities have confirmed that the information about the child kidnapping is not true.

Initial information is known, on the evening of July 20, two men and one woman in a black Fotuner car with license plate 34A-121.79 entered Dong Hoi village, Hong Lac commune to inquire about buying wooden furniture.

The car was overturned and smashed.

While the car was moving in the village, the locals heard the information and misunderstood that these 3 people were driving a car, using sleeping pills to kidnap children, so they blocked the car. When the locals searched the car, they found many blister packs of pills suspected to be sleeping pills, so they assaulted the people in the car.

Not stopping there, the locals also burned down the Fotuner car, leaving only the frame.

The three people in the car were escorted to the police station for questioning. This morning (July 21), Thanh Ha District Police, Hai Duong Province conducted a crime scene investigation to investigate the incident.
