(Baonghean.vn) - The holiday lasts 5 days so many people return to their hometown Nghe An for the holiday. At the same time, many tourists also choose Nghe An as their destination, causing the number of people at the train station and airport to always be crowded.

According to the reporter's records, after the end of the last working day on the afternoon of April 28, the number of passengers at the train station, airport, and bus stations all increased sharply compared to normal days.

At Vinh International Airport, flights land atVinh Airportboth have a large number of customers.

Check-in points are also always crowded. Mr. Hoang Van Thu - Director of Vinh International Airport said: During the April 30 - May 1 holiday, Vinh Airport will receive 42 - 48 takeoffs and landings per day, an increase compared to normal days. The number of passengers at the airport fluctuates from 7,000 - 8,000 passengers per day. On April 28 and 29, the first days of the holiday, the number of passengers was approximately 10,000 people.

It is known that the majority of passengers passing through the airport are people returning to their hometown in Nghe An for the holidays, the rest are tourists choosing Nghe An as their vacation destination.

At Vinh Station, the number of passengers getting off the train also skyrocketed in the afternoon and evening of April 28. It is estimated that the number of passengers getting on and off the train was about 4,000, 3 times higher than normal days. Many train cars were sold out, even the extra seats were full.

Faced with the sudden increase in passengers, the Vietnam Railways industry has added more train pairs to serve the travel needs of people and tourists. While on normal days there are only 4 North-South train pairs running each day stopping at Vinh Station, during the holidays there will be additional train pairs such as SE11 - 12, NA3 - 4, SE 35 - 36...

Despite the high number of passengers, however, according to records, there were no chaotic queues at train ticket sales points. The reason is that the majority of people have proactively booked tickets through apps and websites, no longer buying tickets directly like before.

In particular, although it is only the first day of the holiday, according to Vinh Railway Transport Station, the number of people booking train tickets for May 3 (the last day of the holiday) has also increased significantly, many people have taken the initiative in advance because they are afraid of running out of tickets after the holiday.

Regarding passenger transport by bus, although the number of passengers has increased compared to normal days, the increase is not as sudden as the above two forms of transport. At Bac Vinh Bus Station, nearly 200 vehicles are ready to operate at full capacity to serve passengers after the holiday.

Mr. Nghia - representative of the Vinh - Hanoi bus company shared: During the holiday, we run 2 trips per day to pick up passengers. If in previous years, the buses were basically full because passengers booked 2-3 days in advance, however, this year, the buses were only fully booked on the last day of the holiday. From April 29 to May 2, only about 50% of the beds were booked. Now that personal vehicles are popular, transporting passengers by bus is also facing many difficulties...
