The man had his leg severed.
While walking on the road in Hong Van commune, Thuong Tin district, a man was attacked by a person wearing a sun-protective shirt and a mask, who chopped off his leg.
The police in Thuong Tin district (Hanoi) reported that the incident occurred around 5 PM on July 15th at Van La slope, Hong Van commune. Police officers were dispatched to secure the scene and, along with local residents, took the victim to the hospital. Initial findings indicate the victim resides in Tu Nhien commune.

According to the leader of Tu Nhien commune, the man who was attacked "is a notorious individual, specializing in providing protection for gambling dens in Thuong Tin district and Hanoi city. The possibility of this being a retaliatory attack cannot be ruled out."
The police are searching for the perpetrator.
