A man in Nghe An province died after falling while cutting bamboo.
(Baonghean.vn) - While helping other veterans in the village climb a ladder to cut bamboo and clear the road, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dao, residing in Xuan Son commune (Do Luong district), unfortunately fell and hit his head on the edge of a drainage ditch, subsequently dying.

On the morning of June 21st, the authorities, people of Xuan Son commune (Do Luong district), and family held the funeral for Mr. Nguyen Trong Dao (born in 1954), a veteran from Hamlet 3, Xuan Son commune.
Earlier, at 9:00 AM on June 19th, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dao (born in 1954) and other veterans from Hamlet 3, Xuan Son Commune, were using ladders to cut bamboo and clear vegetation along the new rural road passing through the area. While cutting, Mr. Dao unfortunately fell from the ladder, hitting his head on the side of a drainage ditch.
People took Mr. Dao to the commune's health station for emergency treatment, where his head wound was stitched up. He was then transferred to the hospital for further emergency care. However, due to the severity of his injuries, Mr. Dao passed away on the morning of June 20th.
The bamboo thicket where Mr. Dao fell belonged to a family in the hamlet, leaning out onto the road and obstructing the view. Therefore, the community groups and people of Hamlet 3, primarily the Veterans' Association, helped the family clear this bamboo thicket.

According to Mr. Le Xuan Thuy, Chairman of the Veterans Association of the commune, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dao's family is facing difficult circumstances, but both husband and wife are exemplary veterans, always at the forefront of all community movements.
