Residents of a mountainous town in Nghe An province donated over 23,500 square meters of land to build a road.
(Baonghean.vn) - Hundreds of households in Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district (Nghe An province) have donated more than 23,500 square meters of garden land to expand and upgrade many inner-town roads, saving the State 14.5 billion VND.

Previously, the two roads from National Highway 15A to the Mo Da Dam (Block 1) and the Hoc Noc Dam (Block 2) in Tan Ky town were narrow dirt roads, making travel difficult for residents. However, for nearly a month now, both roads have been widened and paved with smooth concrete. This achievement is thanks to attracting investment projects, and especially the agreement of nearly 70 households living along the roads who donated almost 15,000 square meters of land.2Garden land and property were given to the local authorities for road construction.
For example, in Hamlet 1, there are two households: Hoang Trong Tai donated over 3,000 m².2Mr. Nguyen Van Minh donated over 2,000 square meters of land.2land.
Mr. Dau Truong Son, Chairman of the Tan Ky Town People's Committee, said: Two local roads have recently been widened and paved with concrete, connecting the Mo Da dam in Block 1 and the Hoc Noc dam in Block 2. The total length is nearly 3.5 km, with a total investment of over 15 billion VND. To create a 7-meter wide road surface with 4-meter wide concrete paving, residents donated tens of thousands of cubic meters of land.2The land includes gardens and thousands of trees, along with many other supporting structures.

Thus, from 2019 to the present, Tan Ky town has mobilized hundreds of households to donate more than 23,500 m² of land.2Land, 2,000 trees, 500 meters of sturdy fence, and other assets such as gates, corrugated iron roofs, drainage systems, and auxiliary household structures were used to expand, upgrade, and renovate over 10 kilometers of national highways, provincial roads, and urban roads, resulting in a total benefit to the State of over 14.5 billion VND.
