People in a mountain town in Nghe An donated more than 23,500 square meters of land to open a road.
(Baonghean.vn) - Hundreds of households in Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district (Nghe An) have donated more than 23,500 square meters of garden land to expand and upgrade many inner-city roads, benefiting the State 14.5 billion VND.

Previously, the two routes from National Highway 15A to Mo Da dam, block 1 and Hoc Noc dam in block 2 of Tan Ky town were narrow dirt roads, making it difficult for people to travel. But for nearly a month now, both of these routes have been widened and paved with smooth concrete. This is because the locality has attracted investment projects, especially nearly 70 households living on both sides of the road who agreed to donate nearly 15,000 m2garden land and property for local road opening.
Typically, in hamlet 1, there are 2 households: Hoang Trong Tai donated over 3,000 m2Land, Mr. Nguyen Van Minh donated over 2,000 m2land.
Mr. Dau Truong Son - Chairman of Tan Ky Town People's Committee said: 2 residential roads have just been expanded, poured concrete into Mo Da dam, block 1 and Hoc Noc dam block 2 with a length of nearly 3.5 km, total investment of more than 15 billion VND. To make a 7m wide road surface, poured concrete 4m wide, people donated tens of thousands of m2garden land and thousands of trees, along with many other ancillary works.

Thus, from 2019 to now, Tan Ky town has mobilized hundreds of households to donate more than 23,500 m2land, 2,000 trees, 500 m of solid fence and many other assets such as gates, corrugated iron roofs, drainage systems, family auxiliary works... to expand, upgrade and renew over 10 km of national highways, provincial roads and inner-city roads with a total value benefiting the State of more than 14.5 billion VND./.
