Tan Ky town residents donate 3,500m2 of land to expand inner-city roads
To expand and upgrade many inner-city roads in Tan Ky town, in 2024, hundreds of people in the town voluntarily donated 3,500 square meters of garden land.
From before Tet until now, Tan Ky district and Tan Ky town have accelerated the expansion and upgrading of many inner-city roads.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Trung - Chairman of Tan Ky Town People's Committee said: Previously, the inner-city roads were narrow, the road surface was only 3 - 3.5m wide, there was no road-clamping ditch system, leading to inconvenient traffic circulation.
With the policy of urban beautification and construction of guaranteed technical infrastructure, in the last months of 2024, the Tan Ky town government mobilized nearly 700 households in all 6/6 blocks to donate land. Accordingly, people voluntarily agreed to donate 3,500m2garden land, along with dismantling hundreds of meters of built fences and dozens of solid gate pillars so that the locality can widen the road.
Thanks to that, 20 inner-city roads were expanded, of which 8 roads were expanded from 3 - 3.5m to 6 - 7m, with a length of 12.6km. From the State's investment capital, the expanded roads were all poured with clean concrete, the drainage system along the road was invested in and built smoothly; the lighting system was reinforced, the information cables were re-planned to be more orderly, the means of transportation were convenient, limiting environmental pollution.
This is also one of the practical activities to welcome the upcoming 10th Tan Ky Town Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and Party congresses at all levels./.
