Residents of Tan Ky town donated 3,500 square meters of land to expand inner-town roads.
To expand and upgrade many roads within Tan Ky town, in 2024, hundreds of people in the town voluntarily donated 3,500 square meters of garden land.

From the period leading up to the Lunar New Year until now, Tan Ky district and Tan Ky town have accelerated the progress of expanding and upgrading many inner-city roads.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Trung, Chairman of the Tan Ky Town People's Committee, said: "Previously, the inner town roads were narrow, with road surfaces only 3-3.5 meters wide and no drainage system, leading to inconvenient traffic flow for vehicles."

With the aim of urban beautification and the construction of adequate technical infrastructure, in the last months of 2024, the Tan Ky town government mobilized nearly 700 households across all 6/6 blocks to donate land. Accordingly, the people voluntarily agreed to donate 3,500 square meters of land.2The land was cleared from gardens, and hundreds of meters of built fences and dozens of sturdy gate pillars were dismantled to allow the local authorities to widen the road.

As a result, 20 inner-city roads were widened, including 8 roads that were expanded from 3-3.5m to 6-7m, with a total length of 12.6km. Thanks to state investment, the widened roads were paved with clean, beautiful concrete; the drainage system along the roads was improved; the street lighting system was strengthened; and communication cables were reorganized more neatly, facilitating traffic flow and reducing environmental pollution.
This is also one of the practical activities aimed at celebrating the upcoming 10th Party Congress of Tan Ky town, term 2025-2030, and Party congresses at all levels.
