AfterMiss SupranationalFollowing the announcement, beauty website Global Beauties and many beauty pageant fans around the world voiced their support for the decision and hoped that the remaining competitions in the Grandslam system would also take similar action.

The highest achievement for Vietnam at Miss Supranational was by mixed-race beauty Daniela Nguyen Thu May, who finished as 3rd runner-up in 2011. Vietnam's representative, runner-up Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen, will compete in Miss Supranational 2022 in Poland later this year.
