To hold her first live show in her singing career, Tham Thuy Ha didn't hesitate to invest over 1 billion VND. According to the singer, it was a serious and necessary investment, not intended to show off. However, Tham Thuy Ha had to sell her land in her hometown and the car she had saved up for many years to buy. "Many people think I'm reckless because organizing a solo live show is 100% certain to result in losses. But I'm not afraid because it will give me a new milestone in my career and allow me to connect more closely with my audience," the singer said.
Tham Thuy Ha further shared that she was born into a poor family in Dong Thap province and lived with her grandmother from a young age. At 14, Thuy Ha quickly realized her passion for singing. Every day after school, she secretly walked nearly 10 km to the house of a renowned music teacher in the area to learn music theory and traditional Vietnamese folk music. After graduating from high school, the beauty decided to run away from home to Ho Chi Minh City to pursue a career because her family did not support her singing.
In her early days, Tham Thuy Ha sang for free at bars and only accepted tips from customers. With the meager amount of money she earned, she set aside some to cover the cost of vocal lessons, but she failed every audition. She met journalist Minh Duc and renowned singer Phuong Dung at an audition.Solo with BoleroIt was then that Tham Thuy Ha received helpful feedback, and began to train and change herself.
