Users acknowledge that upgrading from a motorbike to a VinFast VF 3 is a 'win-win' situation.
With a listed price starting from just 302 million VND, coupled with a series of practical incentives and a 3-year free charging policy, the VinFast VF 3 is the most practical choice to replace motorbikes and realize the "four-wheeled dream" of Vietnamese users.
More than just a car to "shelter from rain and sun"
Deciding to "part ways" with his long-time motorbike and switch to VinFast's all-electric mini-SUV, Mr. Doan Phong (Hanoi) sees this as a turning point to upgrade his quality of life.
According to him, while motorcycles are versatile, they are only truly optimal in ideal weather conditions. Conversely, in rain, cold, or scorching sun, traveling becomes tiring and risky. Therefore, he decided to upgrade to a VinFast VF 3 to make commuting easier.
In the mainstream segment, he considers the VF 3 a reasonable choice due to its accessible price, while also meeting basic transportation needs well and being capable of replacing a motorbike for most daily journeys.

In practical use, the biggest advantage of this model is its maneuverability in urban areas. Mr. Phong feels this very clearly because he frequently travels on the "hot spot" Le Van Luong - To Huu route during rush hour.
“Before 7 a.m., the road is still relatively clear, but after that, traffic density becomes extremely high. With a length of only about 3 meters, the VF 3 allows me to maneuver extremely flexibly and easily adjust even in tight spaces,” he explained.
The amenities on the VF 3 also surprised him compared to other mini-SUVs in its segment. The car supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and comes with essential features such as rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and power-adjustable and power-folding mirrors (available on the Plus version).
"Compared to used gasoline cars in the same price range, the VF 3 has the advantage of being a new car, having an automatic transmission, and even an electronic parking brake - features rarely found in this segment," Phong said.
The cost of ownership and operation is "unbeatably low".
With its versatile design and features that exceed its price point, the VF 3 is the obvious choice for those transitioning from a motorbike to a car for the first time.
The opportunity to own a car becomes even more realistic in April 2026 thanks to a series of strong financial incentives from the manufacturer. From the listed price of 302 - 315 million VND, car buyers can enjoy a series of great incentives including: a 6% discount on the selling price under the "Intense for a Green Future" program, an additional 3% if switching from a gasoline car to an electric car (applicable until April 30th), equivalent to a discount of tens of millions of VND. In addition, customers can choose installment payments with 0 VND down payment and enjoy a fixed interest rate of 7%/year for the first 3 years (instead of the 6% discount).

Coupled with the government's policy of 100% exemption from registration fees for electric vehicles, the on-the-road price of the VF 3 is only from 280 million VND, lower than the listed price, creating a significant advantage over gasoline-powered models.
In particular, the biggest surprise for those switching from gasoline to electric vehicles, like Ms. Hai Ha (Bac Ninh), is the incredibly low operating cost of the VF 3.
"With gasoline cars, fuel is always a significant expense, but with electric vehicles like the VF 3, this expense 'disappears' because I'm getting free charging at V-Green stations," Ms. Ha shared.
Currently, VinFast's policy of free battery charging (up to 10 times/month) extends until February 10, 2029, for customers who purchase a vehicle from February 10, 2026, equivalent to nearly 3 years of "hands-free" charging. Ms. Ha calculated that even after the promotional period ends, the energy cost of an electric vehicle will only be 1/3 to 1/4 of that of a gasoline car. For those who travel frequently, the monthly savings could amount to several million VND.
The practicality and economy of the VinFast VF 3 have helped it consistently maintain a top position in the market in terms of sales. In March 2026, 4,729 vehicles were delivered to customers, a 108% increase compared to February's sales. This figure not only demonstrates the appeal of this "national" model but also reflects the increasingly clear preference of Vietnamese consumers for electric vehicles as their first car.
