Two years ago, Saad left his hometown of Mosul to fight in the Iraqi army. Then, two years later, after Mosul was captured by ISIS jihadists, Saad returned to fight for its liberation.

Saad lost contact with his mother during the battle to liberate Mosul. In a video lasting over a minute, Saad anxiously searches for his mother among buses filled with people heading to refugee camps. Saad fears he won't find his mother and that she may no longer be alive.
