(Baonghean.vn) - In the countryside of Hoa Son (Do Luong), Mrs. Thai Thi Khanh is always loved for her kind heart, ready to help people in trouble. That loving heart has sown the seeds of charity, contributing to building a life of love in her hometown.

"Sowing" the seeds of charity

Coming to Minh Tho hamlet, Hoa Son commune (Do Luong), we asked for the house of “charity lady Khanh”, everyone enthusiastically showed us the way. Her full name is Thai Thi Khanh (born in 1963), she used to be a kindergarten teacher, because of the difficult and hard life of her family, she returned to become a farmer, working with her husband in the fields and developing livestock.

At that time, Ms. Khanh participated in the work of the Women's and Farmers' Association of the hamlet, actively participated in movements, was willing to share difficulties and help unfortunate members in trouble.

The woman came to the activity.volunteerIt was a coincidence. In 2006, Ms. Khanh was the President of the Farmers' Association. Unfortunately, a member of the association suffered from a serious illness and had to sell all of his assets for treatment. Unable to bear seeing his member in dire straits, Ms. Khanh mobilized other members to donate money and rice, no matter how little or how much; then she went to many houses in the commune and asked friends who were well off to help. As a result, the total amount of donations was more than 400,000 VND, which Ms. Khanh handed directly to the family of the member with the serious illness.

Not long after that, a neighbor who went to work in the South had an accident at work. His wife at home was seriously ill, the children were still young, and the family was in a very pitiful situation. Mrs. Khanh continued to mobilize people to donate, some small, some large, to help the family gradually overcome difficulties and hardships. Through these times, Mrs. Thai Thi Khanh was increasingly loved and trusted by her neighbors and people in the village.

“Since then, whenever someone in the village or commune is in trouble or has a serious illness, I often stand up to mobilize people to donate and support. Thanks to the trust of the people and philanthropists, I have connected and helped many unfortunate people who have fallen into extreme poverty.”

In particular, when social networks were developing strongly, Ms. Khanh used Facebook to call for support and help for those in difficult circumstances. Not only did she mobilize to help those in need, she also raised 30 million VND to buy a hearse for Minh Tho hamlet, helping families in the hamlet to have more convenience when they had a funeral.

At the same time, mobilize to build a road to the cemetery of the clans in the village with the amount of more than 60 million VND, no longer bumpy, muddy, and slippery when it rains.

Thanks to enthusiasm, responsibility and lovelove, sharing with neighbors and villagers, Mrs. Thai Thi Khanh's reputation was enhanced, becoming a bridge between kind-hearted people and people in difficulty and misfortune. Philanthropists completely put their trust in Mrs. Khanh whenever they entrust their "golden hearts".

Following Mrs. Khanh, we went to the house of Mr. Thai Dinh Nam, a neighbor who had lived a miserable life of exile in Europe, only to return home empty-handed. His brothers and relatives had to donate money and labor to help him build the house. Mrs. Khanh alone had mobilized tens of millions of dong for Mr. Nam to buy materials and appliances, contributing to the solidity of the house.

Mr. Nam said: “Ms. Khanh mobilized and helped me a lot, thanks to that I had enough materials to build this house. After that, she also bought some items to ensure my life…”.

Spread the love

In Minh Tho hamlet, there are also Mrs. Thai Thi Song, Mrs. Thai Thi Ly and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Quy, all women with special circumstances, because of health conditions, they did not get married, or their husbands died of serious illnesses. Life is hard and difficult, living alone in a dilapidated, severely degraded house but there is no money to repair or rebuild.

Mobilized by authorities and organizations to buildhouse of great unity, those women were helped by brothers, relatives, neighbors with money and effort to build the solidarity house. Through the social network Facebook, Ms. Thai Thi Khanh called on the community to support each person about 20 million VND, contributing to building the new house.

It is worth mentioning that Ms. Thai Thi Khanh's love and charity work are increasingly spreading in the community, helping young people to have a good heart.

In 2019, the Hoa Son Volunteer Group was established with more than 30 members led by Ms. Khanh. The group's members are mostly young people who are working and living in their hometowns or far from home, with a loving heart, sharing, and are willing to help people in difficulty and misfortune. The job of each member is to directly help and mobilize, connect with benefactors to support the poor, people affected by natural disasters and floods.
