The woman was allegedly murdered while naked.
When neighbors didn't see Ms. Nga leave her house, they went to look for her and discovered the 50-year-old woman dead, naked, with a stab wound to her neck.

On the afternoon of January 9th, residents of Hamlet 1, Tra Co Commune, Tan Phu District (Dong Nai Province) were shocked to discover Ms. Dang Thi Nga (50 years old) lying dead, naked, in a pool of blood on a mattress in the middle of her house.
Upon examining the crime scene, police discovered the victim had been stabbed in the neck with a sharp object. Many items in the house were ransacked. Ms. Nga's motorbike was missing from the house.
"It's possible that after the rape, the suspect killed the victim to steal her belongings," one investigator stated.
According to local residents, Ms. Nga has been living alone in a small, single-story house located next to the inter-communal road for many years.
