Do land users have rights to adjacent plots of land? What does the 2024 Land Law stipulate? This is a question of concern to Mr. Bui Viet Ha (Quy Chau, Nghe An).

According to Article 29 of the Land Law, the rights regarding adjacent land parcels are stipulated as follows:
1. Rights to adjacent land parcels include rights of access; water supply and drainage; irrigation and drainage for cultivation; gas supply; installation of power lines, communication lines and other necessary needs as prescribed by law.
2. The establishment, modification, or termination of rights to adjacent land parcels shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of civil law; and registration must be carried out in accordance with Article 133 of this Law in cases of rights to access; water supply and drainage; irrigation and drainage in cultivation.
Accordingly, land users have certain rights over adjacent land parcels, including: the right of way; water supply and drainage; irrigation and drainage for cultivation; gas supply; installation of power lines, communication lines, and other necessary needs as prescribed by law.
