The story of Mr. Dang Dinh Thuyet, Party Secretary and Head of Hamlet 2, Anh Son Commune, is a vivid testament to the widespread impact of the patriotic emulation movement. From his family-based economic model, he has not only built a sustainable livelihood but also continuously shared and supported his fellow villagers. His exemplary spirit and dedication to the common good have contributed to significant changes in the construction of new rural areas and community life.
Typical examples of successful production and business

Located right next to National Highway 7, the multi-purpose business owned by Mr. Dang Dinh Thuyet's family has been a reliable supplier of agricultural materials to local farmers for nearly a decade. Starting in 2014, on an area of over 300 square meters, he built a well-structured model: a feed storage warehouse, an incubator, a nursery for seedlings, a series of experimental pens, and a regularly operating wholesale and retail store. "At the beginning, there were difficulties everywhere – a lack of capital, a lack of experience – but I always told myself I had to try my best to succeed," Mr. Thuyet recalled.
Thanks to accurately understanding local needs and persistently learning, the model quickly stabilized, creating jobs for 3-5 local workers with incomes of 4.5-6 million VND/month. Not stopping there, he boldly leased 2.5 hectares of land to grow sweet potatoes in Con Ke, biomass corn, and 1.5 hectares of water surface for raising fish and black snails, creating a closed production chain, ensuring a reliable supply of breeding stock and reducing risks. At the same time, he implemented a contract farming model for raising chickens in Van Kieu commune, with a scale of 50,000 broiler chickens annually. This model opens up an effective cooperative farming direction, creating more jobs, increasing income, and helping people access standardized technical procedures. This development not only helps his family diversify production but also contributes to improving the quality of livestock farming in the locality.

The economic efficiency is demonstrated by solid figures: In 2020, they consumed 380 tons of animal feed, generating revenue of 6.3 billion VND; in 2021, this increased to 430 tons, with revenue of 7.2 billion VND; in 2022, it exceeded 10.5 billion VND; and in 2023, it maintained 9.3 billion VND, with a stable profit of 400-500 million VND per year. The family continuously expanded their warehouse, introduced technology into animal care, applied biological bedding, ventilation and disinfection systems; and improved ponds with impurity filtration systems, resulting in a survival rate of over 90% for fish and snails.
What stands out about Mr. Thuyet is not only his business acumen but also his innovative spirit. He designs automatic feeders for chickens and pigs; manages inventory via phone; sells products on social media; and readily provides free advice on livestock farming techniques. "Buying from Mr. Thuyet also means buying knowledge," said Ms. Dang Thi Ha, a villager.

At training sessions, he always arrived early, meticulously taking notes, asking questions, and then sharing his knowledge with the villagers. For him, "to gain people's trust, we must first do things right and honestly." His family has maintained social insurance and health insurance for their workers for three consecutive years; they have fully fulfilled their tax obligations and environmental regulations – quiet actions that clearly demonstrate a modern production mindset.
Thanks to his reliable, persistent, and responsible approach, Mr. Dang Dinh Thuyet has been honored as...This is a prime example of outstanding production and business at the provincial level for the period 2020-2025, a well-deserved recognition of the efforts of modern farmers.
The dynamic "trumpet bearer"

Viewing Dang Dinh Thuyet solely as a model of successful production and business doesn't fully reflect his character. Throughout his four consecutive terms as Party Branch Secretary and Village Head, he has consistently been the driving force behind all community affairs, a dedicated leader of Village 2, and a persistent advocate for local cultural, artistic, sports, and charitable activities.
In the new rural development program, he personally planned and went to each house to mobilize children living away from home, businesses, and villagers to contribute to building the cultural center. To have a spacious 240m² building and a 4,000m² grounds put into use in 2023, he and the people contributed more than 1 billion VND and 450 man-days of labor. From concreting the courtyard and installing equipment to mobilizing 20 stone benches and a sound system worth 150 million VND, he rolled up his sleeves and did everything himself. The 3km of concrete roads and street lighting covering the village since 2017; 500m of internal field roads; 650m of roads in the Con Ke area by early 2025… all bear the mark of his perseverance and close connection with the people.

He also initiated many cultural and sporting activities, making community life more vibrant. The local Fish Catching Festival last year, which attracted over 10,000 people, was an idea he proposed to promote the beauty of labor and strengthen community bonds.
During land clearance and field restructuring campaigns, he consistently set an example by donating land and fences to foster consensus. His reputation is reflected in the sincere comments of the people of Hamlet 2, who describe him as "exemplary, dedicated, and always at the forefront."
Most heartwarming of all are the things he does for the underprivileged: donating over 5,000 chicks and 3 tons of feed to needy households; supporting young members in starting businesses; mobilizing benefactors to raise over 800 million VND in charitable funds; supporting Nguyen Van Hoa, an orphan suffering from epilepsy, in building a solidarity house; and taking care of all funeral arrangements when he unfortunately passed away… During the recent floods, people became familiar with the image of him rowing a boat to distribute relief meals in flooded areas; the charitable trips he organized to Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Thai Nguyen, Hue… carrying the love and support of the people.

For many years, the Party branch under his leadership has consistently achieved outstanding performance, and in 2023-2024 it was classified as an exemplary outstanding achievement. Village 2 has been proposed for recognition as a new rural area, not only because of its economic development but also because of the vibrant community spirit that he "ignites" every day.

Spreading the spirit of competition through simple things.
Entering a new phase, Mr. Thuyet continues to orient the farm's development towards biosafety and a closed-loop system; expanding the store into a supply point combined with free technical consulting; and increasing automation with an automatic feeding system, environmental sensors, and surveillance cameras. He hopes that not only his family will have a stable income, but also that his workers will receive full insurance coverage and have opportunities for career development.

In Party branch meetings or farmer's association activities, he always encouraged members to boldly innovate techniques and dare to think and act. According to him, the patriotic emulation movement is not something grandiose, but begins with responsibility and kindness in each small task every day.
Looking at what he has done, from economic development and rural construction to charitable activities, one can clearly see the image of a dynamic, people-oriented grassroots official, "carrying the trumpet not for prestige, but to make the village better."
His unwavering dedication has been recognized by all levels; he has continuously received Certificates of Commendation from the People's Committee of the former Anh Son district for his contributions to new rural development, and has been honored as a model of excellent production and business at the provincial level for the period 2020-2025, as well as a model of patriotic emulation at the provincial level.

"Even the smallest things we do contribute to making our homeland more beautiful every day."
Mr. Dang Dinh Thuyet - Secretary and Head of Hamlet 2, Anh Son Commune
