Located next to Highway 7, the family business complex of Mr. Dang Dinh Thuyet has been a supplier of agricultural materials for nearly a decade. Starting in 2014, on an area of ​​over 300 square meters, he systematically built a model: a warehouse for storing animal feed, an incubator, a brooding area, a row of experimental barns, and a wholesale and retail store that operates regularly. "At the beginning, it was difficult in every way, lacking capital and experience, but I always told myself to try my best," Mr. Thuyet recalls.

Thanks to understanding the needs and persistently learning, the model quickly stabilized, creating jobs for 3-5 local workers with an income of 4.5-6 million VND/month. Not stopping there, he boldly rented 2.5 hectares of land to grow Con Ke sweet potatoes, biomass corn and 1.5 hectares of water surface to raise meat fish, black apple snails... connecting into a closed production chain, proactively providing breeds and reducing risks. At the same time, he deployed a joint venture to build a model of raising processed chickens in Van Kieu commune, with a scale of 50,000 chickens per year. This model opens up an effective direction for livestock cooperation, creating more jobs, increasing income and helping people access standard technical processes. This development not only helps his family diversify production but also contributes to improving the quality of local livestock farming.

Economic efficiency is demonstrated by solid numbers: In 2020, 380 tons of animal feed were consumed, with revenue of 6.3 billion VND; in 2021, it increased to 430 tons, with revenue of 7.2 billion VND; in 2022, it exceeded 10.5 billion VND; in 2023, it maintained 9.3 billion VND, with a stable profit of 400-500 million VND/year. The family continuously expanded the warehouse, applied technology to livestock care, applied biological bedding, ventilation and disinfection systems; and renovated the pond with an impurity filtration system to help the survival rate of fish and snails reach over 90%.

What stands out about Mr. Thuyet is not only his economic skills but also his innovative spirit. He designed his own automatic feeders for chickens and pigs; managed inventory over the phone; sold products on social networks; and was willing to provide free advice on livestock farming techniques. “Buying products from Mr. Thuyet also gives you more knowledge,” said Ms. Dang Thi Ha, a villager.

In training classes, he always showed up early, took detailed notes, asked questions, and then brought back knowledge to share with the people. For him, "if you want people to believe, you must first do the right thing, do it for real." The family has maintained social insurance and health insurance for workers for 3 consecutive years; fully fulfilled tax obligations and environmental regulations, things that quietly but clearly demonstrate modern production thinking.

The active "prisoner"

If we only look at him from the perspective of a typical example of good production and business, it still does not fully reflect Dang Dinh Thuyet's personality. During his 4 consecutive terms as Party Cell Secretary and Village Chief, he has always been the "leader" in all common work, the "dedicated jailer" of Village 2 and also the one who persistently keeps the fire burning for local cultural, artistic, sports and volunteer activities.

In the new rural construction program, he directly made plans, went to each house to mobilize children far from home, businesses and people to contribute to building a cultural house. To have a spacious 240m² project with a 4,000m² campus put into use in 2023, he and the people contributed more than 1 billion VND and 450 working days. From concreting the yard, installing equipment, to mobilizing 20 stone benches and a loudspeaker system worth 150 million VND, he rolled up his sleeves to do every job. The 3km concrete road system, lighting lines covering the village since 2017; 500m of inner-field roads; 650m of roads in the Con Ke area in early 2025... all bear the mark of his perseverance and closeness to the people.

He is also the initiator of many cultural and sports activities, making the community life more vibrant. The local Fish Festival last year attracted more than 10,000 people, an idea he proposed to promote the beauty of labor and connect the community.

During the land clearance and field improvement campaigns, he always set an example by donating land and fences to create consensus. His prestige was demonstrated through the sincere comments of the people of village 2 as “exemplary, dedicated, always taking the lead”.

The warmest things are the things he does for the disadvantaged: giving more than 5,000 chickens and 3 tons of food to poor households; supporting young members to start businesses; mobilizing donors to raise more than 800 million VND in charity funds. Supporting Nguyen Van Hoa, an orphan with epilepsy, to build a solidarity house, taking care of all the funeral arrangements when he unfortunately passed away... During the recent floods, people became familiar with the image of him rowing a boat to deliver relief rice to flooded areas; the charity trips he mobilized to Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Thai Nguyen, Hue... carried the affection of the people.

For many years in a row, the Party cell under his leadership has achieved excellent results in completing its tasks, and in 2023-2024 it was ranked as an outstanding and outstanding performer. Village 2 was proposed for recognition as a new rural area, not only thanks to its economic growth but also because of the community vitality that he "ignites" every day.

Entering the new phase, Mr. Thuyet continues to develop the farm in a biosafety and closed-loop direction; expand the store into a supply point combined with free technical advice; increase automation with automatic feeding systems, environmental sensors, and surveillance cameras. He hopes that not only his family will have a stable income, but also that the workers will be fully insured and have the opportunity to develop their careers.
