The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) said that in August (ie the 7th lunar month - usually the low month), the total sales of the market reached 23,540 vehicles. This figure decreased by 17% compared to the previous month but still increased by 30% compared to the same period last year.
By the end of August, total sales of VAMA members reached 187,407 vehicles of all kinds, up 32% over the same period last year. Of which, passenger cars increased by 30%, commercial vehicles increased by 33%, especially specialized vehicles increased by 46% over the same period.
Also in the past 8 months, sales of domestically assembled cars increased by 35% while imported cars increased by 25% compared to the same period last year.
