Nguyen Anh Duc won the Vietnam Golden Ball 2015

The star striker of V-League champion Binh Duong received the most prestigious individual award in Vietnamese football last year, at the Awards Gala held in Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of January 6.

The Silver Ball for men was won by Nguyen Van Quyet, a striker from the Vietnamese national team who plays for the Hanoi T&T Club. Le Cong Vinh, Anh Duc's teammate in Binh Duong, received the Bronze Ball.

2015 was the year when the race for the Men's Golden Ball was considered the most equal and unpredictable, when there were not many truly outstanding faces. But among the chopsticks, the voting organization still found a flagpole, and Anh Duc was honored thanks to his great contributions to Binh Duong Club.

As captain, Anh Duc showed his profound influence, leading the Binh Duong team to defend the V-League championship as well as win the 2015 National Cup. In the women's category, the Golden Ball was awarded to Hanoi FC striker Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet. The next two positions respectively belonged to Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung (Phong Phu Ha Nam), then Huynh Nhu (HCMC).

The best young male player of 2015 belongs to Nguyen Cong Phuong. The Nghe An striker surpassed his HAGL teammate Nguyen Tuan Anh and midfielder Do Duy Manh (Hanoi T&T). His impressive performance in the U23 Vietnam shirt in the Asian qualifiers and the U21 International tournament was the basis for Cong Phuong to win the award.
