Nguyen Dinh Thuc faced popular opposition: "If you don't want to reap the storm, don't sow the wind!"

(Baonghean.vn) - Why did Nguyen Dinh Thuc loudly proclaim the government's incompetence, yet when "trouble arose," he appealed to the government for help? Why did the people of Son Hai ring their gongs and march to Van Thai church? The answer is not difficult!

"While crying for help, Nguyen Dinh Thuc shamelessly continued to make false accusations and incite unrest."

On the evening of May 30th, after receiving a call from Father Nguyen Dinh Thuc pleading for help from the authorities, claiming he was "surrounded" at Van Thai Church (Song Ngoc parish, Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district), the authorities promptly arrived and rescued the priest from the "dangerous area".

It was previously reported that, according to sources from genuine Catholics, Father Nguyen Dinh Thuc, parish priest of Phu Yen, went to Van Thai church and rang the bell to gather a group of parishioners to incite hatred, distort information, continue to harbor resentment and opposition to the government, and disrupt the peace of the homeland. After hearing the strange and unsettling bells ringing out of the church during a normal day, people in Son Hai commune (Quynh Luu district) sounded the alarm, surrounded Van Thai church, and demanded to "teach Nguyen Dinh Thuc a lesson." At this time, Nguyen Dinh Thuc panicked, cried for help, and was rescued by the police. Many people still harbored resentment and anger towards Nguyen Dinh Thuc.

This incident has raised many questions, and the answers seem quite clear.

Why did people gather to surround Van Thai Church and demand to "teach Father Nguyen Dinh Thuc a lesson"?

If you follow the whole process, from February 14, 2017, when Nguyen Dinh Thuc incited and instigated some people to take to the streets to disrupt public order, brazenly violating traffic safety regulations, and deliberately creating clashes with the authorities in Dien Hong commune (Dien Chau district).

The arrogant and law-breaking actions of Nguyen Dinh Thuc and other extremists took place on National Highway 1A on February 14, 2017.

Subsequently, Nguyen Dinh Thuc frequently appeared on social media with images that openly challenged and acted arrogantly, showing that he was connected with undesirable elements, reactionary and extremist figures, exploiting churches to regularly incite a segment of the population, openly expressing intentions to overthrow the government, depose leaders, insult national heroes who have made immense contributions to the people and the country, causing prolonged instability, disrupting life, and affecting the peaceful environment and tranquil atmosphere of a historically prosperous rural area.

Furthermore, on May 15th, Nguyen Dinh Thuc even called on a group of parishioners to deliberately cause a traffic jam on National Highway 1 near the An Duong Vuong Temple from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM. They then gathered and caused disturbances in front of the Dien Chau police station, simply because the authorities arrested the reactionary Hoang Duc Binh while he was traveling in the same vehicle as Nguyen Dinh Thuc.

Nguyen Dinh Thuc's actions did not escape the notice of the people, creating resentment and indignation among them, gradually forming a sense of self-defense and resistance. Nguyen Dinh Thuc could not have imagined that national pride and a sense of community cohesion to protect their villages and homeland were always present, smoldering and nurtured deep within each person like a red-hot ember buried in a hearth.

Therefore, the incident on the evening of May 30th, when the people of Son Hai commune sounded the alarm and surrounded the church, can be likened to embers being fanned by the wind, the final straw, the reaction of a long-suppressed resentment that had finally reached its breaking point. They expressed their attitude through action. Unable to sit idly by while the villain disguised as a priest spouted nonsense and committed wrongdoings, the people were forced to march to the church with the intention of "teaching the traitor who intended to sell out the country and harm the people a lesson." Fortunately, the authorities arrived in time and rescued Nguyen Dinh Thuc, but everyone understands that the matter will not simply end there.

Some further questions are: Why does Nguyen Dinh Thuc constantly slander the government, always cursing it as useless, yet when threatened, he seeks help from the government? Why, even while seeking help from the government, does Thuc still not abandon his old habit of spreading distorted information online, claiming that the government is organizing repression, even though no clashes have occurred? Yet, Nguyen Dinh Thuc constantly spouts the words "brutal torture and beatings," as if they are pre-programmed and readily available, ready to be unleashed when connecting with extremist and reactionary forces?

By now, most people can probably understand this. More than anyone else, Nguyen Dinh Thuc knew that his insidious actions and intentions were nothing short of devilish schemes, like "bringing a bull to trample on one's ancestors' graves." If discovered, he would not be forgiven by heaven or earth, and no citizen would be able to pardon him. This was especially true for people who cherished peace, worked hard, lived honest lives, and held firm to their principles and principles of justice. Therefore, when the people surrounded the church, Nguyen Dinh Thuc knew full well the extent of the threat to his safety and life.

Despite his loud pronouncements on social media portraying himself as a "hero," Nguyen Dinh Thuc couldn't hide his cowardice and fear of death. Thuc knew full well that everything he depicted was merely an illusion, while the strength of the people of Son Hai was real – the will of the people. The will of the people is like water; when the water rises too high, the risk of the dam breaking is only a matter of time. Thuc relied on the government because he knew the power of the people's government. He criticized the government as a ploy to gain favor with overseas reactionaries, to attract material and moral support from those who opposed or rejected the people's government.

Thuc simultaneously appealed to the authorities for help while distorting information online about being persecuted by the organization. This was simply because Thuc was forced to conceal her true identity after being exposed. On one hand, she continued to spread rumors, exploiting every opportunity to ensure a continuous flow of tempting dollars; on the other hand, she concealed her desperation and inevitable failure, which she absolutely did not want anyone to see.

Following the events of the evening of May 30th, the reactionary websites often used by Thuc and his accomplices concealed the truth about the people's resistance and Thuc's utter terror. Could it be that Nguyen Dinh Thuc has, to some extent, "realized his limitations"? Perhaps, Nguyen Dinh Thuc has realized that to avoid the storm, the only way is not to sow the wind in the first place?
