The number one reason why Hung Nguyen has made a breakthrough in attracting investment.

(Baonghean) - As a locality implementing many key projects, Hung Nguyen has been focusing its efforts on doing a good job of land clearance.

In recent years, Hung Nguyen district has been the destination for many key provincial projects such as: the VSIP urban, industrial and service zone project, the 72m road project, etc. In addition, the locality is implementing many projects under its own investment, such as the Youth Park project in the town center, the road connecting the Le Hong Phong historical site with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, passing through the communes of Hung Tien, Hung Thang, Hung Chau, Hung Xuan and Hung Phu, etc. These are all key projects of great importance to the economic, cultural and social landscape of the locality.

Recognizing that one of the key factors in attracting investment is land clearance, Hung Nguyen always prioritizes doing this task well. Through this, they help investors overcome obstacles, reduce wasted time and resources, and create the most favorable conditions for them to explore and stay longer in this promising land.

For example, with the VSIP Project, which requires the handover of 200 hectares of land in Phase 1A, located in Hung Tay commune and Hung Nguyen town, the district immediately established a Land Clearance Steering Committee headed by the District Party Secretary. All activities were overseen and directed with the goal of relocating and resettling approximately 50 households and nearly 2,000 graves, along with 5 village cultural centers, from the land requiring clearance to hand over to the investor.

Initially, many difficulties arose: People complained that the compensation for agricultural land was too low and expressed disagreement with the compensation rates stipulated; the scale of land clearance was large, spread across a wide area, affecting many households, etc. To overcome these difficulties, Hung Nguyen focused the entire political system on the task of disseminating information and mobilizing the people.

District leaders directly visited affected households, understanding their concerns and aspirations, and thoroughly explaining the importance of the VSIP Project to local development. The Land Clearance Council also publicly disclosed all state regulations, policies, and guidelines regarding land clearance so that people could understand and agree with the overall plan. As a result, after implementing land clearance for the VSIP Project from 2015 to the present, Hung Nguyen district has completed compensation and handed over 150 hectares of cleared land (mainly agricultural land).

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kinh, Head of the Land Clearance Committee of Hung Nguyen District, said: “Currently, for Phase 1A of the VSIP Project, we have completed the relocation of most of the graves on the land to be handed over. The remaining 100 graves will be moved as soon as possible. The unfinished tasks will be urgently implemented to be completed before April 30th, adhering closely to the set schedule.”

Similarly, the 72m road project, spanning nearly 3 km through the district, has seen 2.7 km of cleared land handed over thanks to the urgent focus on completing the resettlement area for the people. The project connecting the Le Hong Phong historical site with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam is a shining example of effective land clearance work, demonstrating successful mobilization of the people. Through effective propaganda and persuasion, many households voluntarily handed over their land for the project, even proceeding with the handover as planned without receiving compensation.

In addition, the 5-hectare youth park project in the center of Hung Nguyen town has also basically completed 70-80% of the land clearance work, overcoming initial obstacles such as the general inadequacies in land management and the widespread land disputes, which made compensation and land clearance difficult.

Drawing on the valuable experiences of Hung Nguyen district over the past period to ensure timely and effective land clearance, Comrade Hoang Van Phi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, said: "First of all, it is necessary to fully disseminate the policies of the Party and the State to cadres and Party members, especially those people affected by land clearance."

At the same time, Hung Nguyen requires each official to be dedicated, committed, and passionate about serving the people, and to adequately address the people's rights and interests in accordance with State regulations. All levels and sectors must coordinate closely and carefully to avoid errors that could lead to misunderstandings and public dissatisfaction. And especially, individuals who comply well with the Party and State's policies on land clearance work will be promptly commended and rewarded.”

In the coming period, continuing the view that attracting investment and developing the locality requires doing a good job of land clearance, considering this a crucial task for the entire political system. The leaders of Hung Nguyen district affirmed that they will make even greater efforts to build upon the positive results already achieved, and will strive to help investors overcome difficulties and resolve any obstacles during the preparation and implementation of production and business activities in the area. This will be the basis for Hung Nguyen to make breakthroughs in investment promotion and attraction, rapidly changing the face of the socio-economic landscape.
