Mr. NLH from Nghi Loc district asks: What are the principles of land registration and registration of assets attached to land as stipulated in the Land Law?

Article 131 of the 2024 Land Law stipulates as follows:

1. Land registration is mandatory for land users and those entrusted with land management.

2. Assets attached to land, such as houses and construction works, are registered at the request of the owner.

3. Land and property registration, including initial registration and registration of changes, can be done in paper or electronic form and has the same legal validity.

4. Land users, owners of assets attached to the land, and those assigned land for management who have declared and registered their land use rights and ownership of assets attached to the land will be recorded in the land cadastral records and considered for the issuance of Certificates of Land Use Rights and Ownership of Assets Attached to the Land if they meet the conditions stipulated in this Law.

5. The government shall provide detailed regulations on the registration of land and assets attached to the land.
