Musician Nguyen Van Chung happily shared the moment he reunited with his adopted daughter Suri after she moved to Australia to live with her biological mother five months ago.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung recently posted heartwarming photos of his reunion with his adopted daughter Suri, five months after she moved to Australia. According to the post, Suri will be returning to Vietnam to visit her family for about two months.
In the post, the musician wittily wrote: "The War God - diamond member is back in Vietnam for 2 months, how scary!". He also shared a humorous text message exchange with his younger sister (Suri's mother), in which he "scolded" her for not giving his daughter money to spend, and received a witty reply: "Just bear with it for 2 months."
A 13-year journey of nurturing
Suri, whose real name is Kim Anh, is 15 years old and is the niece of musician Nguyen Van Chung, who adopted her when she was a child. He spent 13 years raising and loving her as if she were his own daughter.
In early July 2025, Suri was brought to Australia by her adoptive father to settle down and reunite with her biological mother. Despite the distance, Nguyen Van Chung said he felt he had fulfilled his mission as a "companion" in his daughter's life.
He emotionally expressed: "The first day I received my child from my sister and the last day I returned her to her, I had such a strange feeling... Even though this mission is over, for the rest of my life, I will always be her father! She taught me how to be a father even before I actually became one!"
The inspiration for 300 children's songs.
Suri is not only his daughter but also a great source of inspiration for Nguyen Van Chung, who has composed 300 children's songs. He once shared about the journey of helping her overcome depression after her biological parents separated, showing the deep affection he has for his child.
While in Vietnam, Suri frequently appeared in her father's posts. As a teenager, she was described as becoming increasingly beautiful and mature.
Life of a single father
Besides Suri, musician Nguyen Van Chung also has a biological son, Pu (real name Hieu Long). After divorcing in 2020, he raised both children alone. The musician is proud that his son is increasingly resembling him, and the two are very close.
