Quang Ngai province is piloting a model of boarding houses made from shipping containers to address the shortage of accommodation for students in mountainous areas.

In recent days, people passing by the square in Quang Ngai City have been curious and surprised to see a series of containers erected there. What's special is that these containers have been decorated and modified into rather cute houses with full amenities. Many young people and parents have brought their children to take pictures with these interesting houses.

This is a pilot model of a container-based boarding house implemented by HELP Social Joint Stock Company, aiming to deploy it in mountainous districts of Quang Ngai province.

A closer look inside the house reveals that students can rest assured they have a safe place to shelter from the sun and rain.

Currently, ethnic minority students in mountainous districts are dropping out of school because they have to travel long distances and face many dangers to get to school, or they have to set up makeshift shelters around the school area to study, while the number of boarding facilities to accommodate them is still too limited.
