(Baonghean.vn) - From 11:00 AM on October 18th, the Ban Ang Hydropower Plant in Tuong Duong district (Nghe An province) released floodwaters at a flow rate of 200 - 500 m3/s.
According to information from Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company, from 7:00 AM on October 18th, the water level at the Ban Ang hydropower reservoir in Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, increased dramatically.

To ensure the reservoir regulation work of the power plant.HydroelectricBan Ang is safe. The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue issued Notice No. 159/TB-PCTT regarding the operation and water regulation of the Ban Ang Hydropower Plant reservoir in Xa Luong commune.Tuong Duong district.
Accordingly, Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to...flood releasewith a flow rate of 200 - 500 m3/s (including through the spillway and through the turbines) and may increase depending on the water inflow into the reservoir.
The water release will begin at 11:00 AM on October 18th and continue until the water inflow into the reservoir drops below 189.6 m.3/S.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue hereby informs the People's Committee of Tuong Duong District, the heads of provincial departments and agencies, investors currently constructing along the riverbanks, owners of waterway transport vehicles, and residents living downstream of the Ban Ang Hydropower Plant, to proactively implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the people and the State.
