Khe Bo Hydropower Plant regulates water levels in the reservoir.
The Khe Bo Hydropower Plant is scheduled to begin regulating the water level of the Khe Bo reservoir from 9 PM on July 31st.
On the afternoon of July 31st, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued urgent notice No. 133 regarding the operation and water regulation of the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant reservoir (Tuong Duong).
The announcement stated: At 4:45 PM on July 31, 2024, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Announcement No. 198 from Khe Bo Hydropower Plant regarding the operation and regulation of reservoir water.
To ensure the safe regulation of water levels in the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir operating procedures on the Ca River basin, the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant plans to operate the reservoir water regulation as follows:
Expected time for water release through the spillway:At 9:00 PM on July 31, 2024.
Discharge rate:The total discharge flow ranges from approximately 500 m3/s to 900 m3/s (discharged through the turbines and through the spillway) and may vary depending on the inflow of water into the reservoir.
Time of completion of water discharge through the spillway:Until the water inflow into the reservoir is less than the water flow through the generating units.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense hereby informs the People's Committees of the districts of Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen and Vinh City; the heads of provincial departments and agencies; and the Road Management Area II to notify all levels of government, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of Khe Bo Hydropower Plant to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
