Khe Bo Hydropower Plant continues to operate, releasing water from the reservoir.
(Baonghean.vn) - After increasing the reservoir water discharge rate from 9 PM on October 6th, the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant stopped discharging water at 2:30 PM on October 7th. However, due to the continued inflow of water, the plant resumed discharging according to the approved procedure from 6 PM on October 7th.
On the afternoon of October 7th, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense received Notice No. 324/TB-KHPP dated October 7th, 2022, from Khe Bo Hydropower Plant regarding the operation of water discharge from the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant reservoir.

To ensure the safe regulation of water levels in the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir operating procedures on the Ca River basin, the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant plans to begin releasing water from the reservoir at 6 PM on October 7th.
Total discharge flow rate from 510 m³3/s up to 1,100 m3/s (including power generation through turbines and through the spillway) can vary depending on the water inflow into the reservoir.
The water release through the spillway will cease when the water inflow into the reservoir drops below 487 m.3/S.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense hereby informs the People's Committees of the districts of Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen, and Vinh City; the heads of provincial departments and agencies; and the Road Management Department II to inform all levels of government, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of Khe Bo Hydropower Plant to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
