Nha Phuong reveals the reason she had to be hospitalized during her third pregnancy.
The actress said she had a severe cold but didn't dare take medicine for fear of affecting the baby, leading to airway obstruction. Her health is now stable.
Cause of hospitalization and current condition
Actress Nha Phuong recently shared details about her health condition after being hospitalized for emergency treatment in early November during her third pregnancy. The cause was determined to be complications from a prolonged bout of the flu.
During a livestream, Nha Phuong explained that she had a prolonged cold but avoided taking medication to prevent affecting the fetus. This caused a buildup of nasal mucus, which dripped down her throat and blocked her airways, making it difficult for her to breathe.
"The first time Phuong had a problem with a cold, she didn't take medicine because she was pregnant and needed to limit her medication. As a result, she had so much nasal discharge that the doctor said she had to go see the doctor every day," the actress shared. She said she had to stay in the hospital overnight for treatment and was then discharged.
Currently, Nha Phuong confirms that her health has stabilized. Throughout her time in the hospital, her husband Truong Giang was always by her side to take care of her.
Family Challenge in November
Previously, Truong Giang also shared about a difficult November for his family, as not only Nha Phuong but also their children experienced health problems. He wrote: "Last month's schedule. Daughter hospitalized – received 4 stitches (stitched through). Daughter hospitalized again – anaphylactic shock (hospitalized). Son had a fever (couldn't sleep). Wife was rushed to the emergency room (couldn't breathe)."
Looking back on the journey of motherhood
This isn't the first time Nha Phuong has faced health challenges during childbirth. The actress previously revealed that she suffered postpartum hemorrhage and fell into a coma for several hours after giving birth to her first daughter, Destiny, due to attempting a natural birth. Additionally, she also experienced mild postpartum depression.
However, things went more smoothly during her second pregnancy with Hope. Nha Phuong said that thanks to Truong Giang's unwavering support in everything from food and rest to work, her mental state has become much more stable.
