Dai Dinh Holy House receives Provincial-level Historical Monument Certificate
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 17th, the People's Committee of Thanh Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, solemnly held a ceremony to receive the Certificate recognizing Dai Dinh Holy House as a Historical Relic.

The Dai Dinh Holy House, located in Hamlet 9, Thanh Van Commune (the center of the old Dai Dinh village), was built hundreds of years ago and consists of two buildings, upper and lower, made of ironwood and roofed with yin-yang tiles.
The Dai Dinh Shrine is a religious structure built by the people to worship Confucius and other esteemed scholars and virtuous figures of the village; it is a place where people come to pray for blessings, academic success, favorable weather, and bountiful harvests. During the French colonial period, the shrine also served as an important secret base for revolutionary activities.
Having existed for hundreds of years, and after numerous restorations and renovations, the Dai Dinh temple still retains its original architecture along with many ancient artifacts and ritual objects; it is a testament and symbol of a rural area with a rich and long-standing cultural tradition.
With those values, Dai Dinh Holy House has been recognized as a Provincial-level Historical Monument by the People's Committee of Nghe An province according to Decision No. 6391/QD-UBND, signed on December 15, 2016.

The awarding of the Provincial-level Historical Monument ranking certificate for Dai Dinh Holy House is an opportunity for everyone to reflect on history and instill pride in the tradition of studiousness and academic achievement of Thanh Van in particular and Thanh Chuong in general.
To date, Thanh Chuong district has inventoried 548 historical sites, including 12 sites classified at the national level and more than 40 sites classified at the provincial level.
