“Regarding President Biden’s age, we’ve heard it over and over again since 2020. But if you look at what the President has done in the last two years, he can do anything,” Fox News quoted Ms. Jean-Pierre as saying at a press conference on April 25.

Besides, Ms. Jean-Pierre emphasized that the Republican Party is not fulfilling its mission for the benefit of the American people.

At 80, Mr. Biden is the oldest person to hold the office of US President, according to the White House. He will be 86 years old at the end of his second term if elected.

On April 25, President Biden officially announced that he will run for a second term as US President in the 2024 US election.

“When I ran for president four years ago, I said we were in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are. The question we face is whether we will have more freedom or less freedom, more rights or fewer in the years ahead,” Biden said in a video announcing his re-election bid.

An NBC News poll released over the weekend found that 70% of Americans, including 51% of Democrats, believe Biden should not run for president. Meanwhile, 69% of all respondents said Biden should not run for president due to concerns about his age.
