The White House has commented on the issue of President Biden's age.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that President Joe Biden is still doing a good job despite concerns about his age.

"Regarding President Biden's age, we've heard it over and over again since 2020. But if you look at what the President has accomplished in the last two years, he is capable of handling any task," Fox News quoted Jean-Pierre as saying at a press conference on April 25.
In addition, Jean-Pierre emphasized that the Republican Party is failing to fulfill its duty in the best interests of the American people.
According to the White House, at 80 years old, Biden is the oldest person to hold the office of President of the United States. He would be 86 years old at the end of his second term if elected.
On April 25th, President Biden officially announced his candidacy for a second term as President of the United States in the 2024 US election.
“When I ran for president four years ago, I said we were in a fight for the soul of America. And we still are. The question we face is whether in the years to come we will have more freedom or less freedom, more or less rights,” Biden said in his re-election announcement video.
An NBC News poll released last weekend showed that 70% of Americans surveyed, including 51% of Democrats, believe Biden should not run for president. Meanwhile, 69% of all respondents said Biden should not participate in the US election due to concerns about his age.
