According to RIA Novosti on November 24, the White House announced that Ukrainian representatives confirmed at a meeting in Geneva (Switzerland) that the current draft peace plan reflects Ukraine's interests.

"Representatives of Ukraine stated that, based on the explanations and amendments presented today, they believe that the current draft reflects Ukraine's national interests and provides credible and enforceable mechanisms to ensure its security in both the short and long term," the White House statement said.

The US administration considered the talks productive and called them a significant step forward. The Ukrainian delegation reportedly confirmed that all major issues of concern to Kyiv, including security guarantees, had been "carefully considered."

The document states: "The Ukrainian delegation confirmed that all their main concerns – security guarantees, long-term economic development, infrastructure protection, freedom of navigation, and political sovereignty – were thoroughly addressed during the meeting."

The White House stated: "The parties reaffirmed that any future agreement must fully guarantee Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure a lasting and just peace."

In return, the US delegation emphasized that the goal of these consultations was to establish a "lasting and achievable peace."

The parties decided to continue consultations following the meeting in Geneva.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Russia's consent is required for the Ukrainian settlement plan to be approved.

"This is another part of the process, they will have to approve it," he said at a press conference following talks with representatives from Kyiv and other countries.

According to Rubio, the document comprises 26 or 28 points, depending on the version. The US Secretary of State also affirmed that the US began its involvement in this agreement by understanding Moscow's position as communicated to the State Department in writing and verbally.

On November 23, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that meetings between Ukrainian delegations, European partners, and US delegations had begun in Switzerland to discuss steps to end the conflict. Earlier, Reuters, citing an unnamed US official, reported that representatives from Washington and Kyiv intended to finalize the details of the US draft plan for resolving the conflict during talks in Geneva.
