(Baonghean) - The Housecomposer Phan Đăng HảiNestled in a charming little spot on a hill laden with fruit trees, it's a truly beautiful and peaceful place. A musician of average height, holding a guitar, is immersed in a song he just composed. Around him, generations of students are listening attentively…

In his youth, Phan Đăng Hải loved singing, playing the flute, and playing musical instruments, but he never imagined he would pursue a career in music for the rest of his life. After finishing high school, he enlisted in the army and later attended the Chemical Warfare Officer School. The military environment helped him develop his musical talent. Phan Đăng Hải was then sent by his superiors to study at the Military Academy of Arts and Culture (1984-1987).

After graduating, Phan Đăng Hải returned to work at the Propaganda Department, Political Office, Hanoi Air Defense Division. For many consecutive years, Phan Đăng Hải was commended by his superiors for his achievements in building the cultural and artistic movement of the division.

Despite his retirement, Phan Dang Hai remains passionate about composing, like a diligent bee collecting sweet nectar for life. To date, he has composed over 50 musical works about his homeland, including some that have been well-received and highly appreciated by the public, such as "Vi Giam Bo Buong" (The Magical Folk Song) and "Yen Thanh: A Land of Spiritual Significance and Outstanding People."

His music classes are very popular, and most students pass the entrance exams to central and local arts and culture schools. Dozens of his students have now become key figures in arts and culture in localities within and outside the district.

Many people say he's "doing thankless work for the community." But for him, composing, singing, and staging programs for villages, hamlets, agencies, and schools, and performing at amateur art competitions... is his joy and passion – an artist who always cherishes his homeland. According to him, being loved by the people is the greatest and most invaluable reward for an artist.
