Strengthening faith, fostering solidarity.
(Baonghean.vn) - The outstanding achievements of many rural areas in socio-economic development and new rural construction in the "Tra Lan region" always bear the mark of the collective efforts of the people of all ethnic groups. According to the Secretary of the Con Cuong District Party Committee: The people have strengthened their faith in the Party, the government, organizations, and associations, and have fostered solidarity and progress.
The power of unity
Each household in Tong Chai village, Chi Khe commune,Con Cuong district- Located nearly 200 km from Vinh city, a village contributed over 4 million VND to build a new rural village. Thanks to this contribution and government support, the village's road system has been completely paved with concrete; the village cultural center has been built in a spacious and well-equipped manner, complete with tables, chairs, sound systems, and a clean and beautiful landscape. Notably, dozens of households in the village donated land, along with financial contributions from all residents, to open new internal roads serving agricultural production and economic development.

Village head Lo Van Thuyen said: “The new rural road, completed in 2020, has greatly facilitated agricultural production, and the villagers are very happy. To build this road, 14 households donated land, and all 188 households in the village contributed 200,000 VND each. Previously, after each harvest, villagers had to carry rice from the fields over long distances to the main village road to bring it home. Now, they can transport the rice by motorbike or cart after harvest. After the road was built, many households invested in agricultural machinery for plowing, harrowing, and harvesting rice, corn, and potatoes. Currently, the second rural road is nearing completion. Dozens of households are also ready to donate land and contribute labor to build three more such roads…”
These achievements in a remote, mountainous village demonstrate the strength of unity and solidarity among the local people. According to Mr. Vi Van Mao, Secretary of the Party Branch of Tong Chai village, the core principle is the villagers' trust in the Party branch, the village management board, and other organizations. Before starting any welfare project, the Party branch, the village management board, and other organizations always hold meetings with the villagers to clearly explain the issues. The implementation process is always open and transparent, with supervision from the village's monitoring team. When the projects are completed and have a positive impact, the villagers' trust grows even stronger. Therefore, in recent years, the people of Tong Chai village have united to implement many important projects, contributing to improving people's lives and beautifying the village.

To increase their income, improve their living standards, and contribute to building new rural communities, for many years, people in the villages and hamlets of Con Cuong district have been actively promoting...economic developmentFrom forestry and vegetable farming to commercial livestock and poultry raising, the people here, despite not having the same income and living standards as those in the lowlands of the province, are willing to contribute their labor and money to build their villages and hamlets into more prosperous and well-developed communities.
"The villagers are happy because they have contributed to helping their village and commune achieve the new rural standard, and their lives are more prosperous."
Ms. Luong Thi Hai Van, Party Secretary and Head of Ke Sung village, Mau Duc commune, affirmed: “Every movement launched by the authorities and sectors is eagerly participated in by the people of Ke Sung village. Each household contributes to the development of our homeland through their own production, business, and service models. From there, the villagers collectively increase their income, improve their lives, and contribute to building a new rural area.”

Affirming belief
In recent years, Con Cuong district has been recognized by people in the province and the whole country for its many developments. These include the active reforestation efforts; the effective cultivation of bamboo and other similar plants; the cultivation of medicinal herbs, oranges, vegetables, and livestock farming in many areas, all geared towards commercial production. Many households also participate in homestay tourism services and produce souvenirs… As a result, the lives of the people are improving. Many residents of the "mountain town" of Con Cuong proudly say: "Visitors coming here will get to 'eat Muong Qua rice, Giang River fish, swim in Khe Kem waterfall, and stay in stilt houses…'"
The dynamism of the people of Con Cuong reflects the aspiration for progress of each individual here. The crucial factor is that the Party committees, government, and mass organizations have awakened that aspiration through various initiatives.socio-economic development orientationAlong with the investment in key state programs and projects, Mr. Vi Van Vuong, Vice Chairman of the Mau Duc Commune People's Committee, affirmed that the people in the commune always trust in the leadership of the Party and the government, and the support of organizations and associations. Therefore, in the movements for socio-economic development and building a new, progressive life, the people here actively participate.

The Secretary of the Con Cuong District Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung, stated that, from the depths of their hearts, the ethnic people of Con Cuong inherit revolutionary traditions and unwavering faith in the Party and the State (in April 1931, the Mon Son - Con Cuong Party Branch was established, marking the birthplace of the first Party branch of ethnic minorities nationwide in general, and Nghe An in particular). Therefore, when each policy issued by the Party, the State, the province, and the district is disseminated and promoted by all levels, it has awakened and fostered the spirit and will to strive for progress in each citizen.
To affirm and strengthen that trust, the entire political system in the district has intensified its efforts to stay close to the grassroots, actively accompanying the people, listening to their opinions, and readily engaging in dialogue and providing explanations to clarify issues. The District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the District Fatherland Front Committee also regularly organize dialogues with the Party committees and local authorities at the commune level to jointly resolve difficulties and obstacles, creating favorable conditions for development.
"In 2021, the Con Cuong District Party Committee was one of six Party organizations ranked by the Provincial Party Committee as having excellently completed its tasks. This result, in addition to the efforts of cadres, Party members and the political system, was greatly contributed to by the ethnic people in the district."
