(Baonghean.vn) - Although the financial support for workers and those renting accommodation in industrial zones arrived later than expected, it was truly a meaningful and joyful occasion.

Mr. Phan Van Nghia (Chairman of the Trade Union, VSIP Nghe An Co., Ltd.)

Businesses actively support their employees.

Our company is one of the first businesses in the province to complete the necessary paperwork forworkersTo receive this support package, and also to be one of the first units in the VSIP Industrial Park to receive the financial assistance, this was made possible thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of the company's human resources team. Immediately after receiving the necessary procedural instructions from the authorities, they understood the process and promptly disseminated and guided employees to complete the required documents. Most employees in my company received the support payment of 1.5 million VND for 3 months via bank transfer. Whether sooner or later, when this support money reached the employees, it brought joy and meaningful encouragement.

As beneficiaries of this humane policy, we are not only grateful for the Party and State's guidelines but also deeply appreciate the dedication of the company's staff and employees.

A fair and meaningful policy

Immediately after receiving the guidance document, my colleagues and I implemented it for union members and workers. We completed the dossiers and submitted them to the Social Insurance agency for approval on June 18th, and to the District Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on June 20th.

After two months, on August 16th, I was called to receive a 15 million VND support payment for 10 employees of the company. Immediately after receiving the money, we distributed it directly to the employees, and everyone was very happy. Of the 10 eligible employees, 6 were Vietnamese and 4 were foreign staff. In reality, there is a significant difference in the circumstances and living standards of these two groups. The Vietnamese employees who live in rented accommodations are usually those with more difficult and challenging situations. As for the foreign staff, the 1.5 million VND support payment is not a large sum compared to their income and housing costs, but they were very grateful for the government's care and concern for the workers. Above all, the implementation of the policy was very fair and impartial, without discrimination.

Ms. Mai Khanh Huyen (Employee, Gia Nhat Plastic Co., Ltd. - Nghi Loc):

A surprise gift for Mom

For me, the 1.5 million VND I received from the support policy for workers renting accommodation in industrial zones is truly a big and meaningful gift. Having come here from Ha Tinh to work, I am currently...currently renting a roomIn Nghi Xa commune, the cost is 600,000 VND per month, which is equivalent to almost three months' rent. However, I decided to send this gift to my mother instead of using it for myself.

A year ago, my family went through a major ordeal. My father was in an accident and became bedridden, leaving my mother to become the main breadwinner, caring for him while raising and educating my two younger siblings who are still in school. It's rare for us factory workers to receive such an unexpected sum of money in addition to our regular salary, so it holds immense economic and emotional significance. My mother will surely be very happy to receive this gift.

I'm happy that I'm eligible for assistance.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, life for my family—my wife, myself, and our two young children—was quite difficult. As soon as we heard the first news about the housing allowance for workers, my wife and I had high hopes. Our jobs are more stable now, but with our factory wages, we still have to be very frugal to make ends meet. Therefore, we were very happy to be eligible for the support. Around our rented accommodation, some workers from other companies have already received the allowance, and we'll probably receive it sooner or later.

For working parents like us with young children of school age, receiving financial support before the start of the new school year is very meaningful. That money will help us save a considerable amount to pay for tuition and buy books for our children.

Workers are eagerly awaiting the day they receive support.

With a large workforce, our HR department spent a considerable amount of time and effort completing the support application process. After screening, our company had 98 eligible cases to receive financial assistance under Government Decision 08/2022/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2022. These employees were eagerly awaiting this assistance, with many of them following the policy information daily through various media outlets and frequently contacting the HR department to inquire about the payment status.

According to the latest information we have, the authorities are working diligently to complete the payment of support in August, and we have informed our employees of this. We hope this goal will be achieved.
