Expanding youth club models

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of December 24th, the Provincial Youth Union held a conference to summarize the work of the Union and youth movements in 2015 and to implement tasks for 2016.

In 2015, the youth union and movement in Nghe An province achieved positive results. The entire province established 20 specialized summer volunteer teams with the participation of over 500 student volunteers; the "Winter Volunteer Program 2014 and Spring Volunteer Program 2015" was actively implemented by all levels of the Youth Union with activities totaling over 3 billion VND.

Comrade Le Dong Hieu - Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh Medical University, presented a paper on the criteria for clubs and teams.

The campaigns "Youth and Traffic Culture"; the "Bowl of Compassion" and "Pot of Kindness" programs have been widely implemented by the Youth Union in many units such as Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Nghia Dan, Thanh Chuong... The activities of member organizations such as the provincial student association, the young entrepreneurs' association, the young doctors' club... continue to develop both in terms of the number of members and the quality of membership.

Comrade Phan Van Hien, Secretary of the Nghia Dan District Youth Union, presented a paper on building youth models suitable for the local area.

In 2016, the youth movement focused on the following areas: Organizing free medical examinations, treatment, and medication distribution for the people; Promoting the role of youth union organizations in assisting reformed youth and disadvantaged youth; Commending exemplary young people from ethnic minorities and religious groups…

Comrade Pham Ngoc Canh - Chairman of the Youth Union - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, presented certificates of commendation to individuals with outstanding achievements in the Union's work.

At the conference, delegates contributed many papers on youth union work, how to attract members to the Youth Union organization, and how to attract resources to organize activities aimed at building a distinctive and increasingly in-depth youth union movement.

On this occasion, 19 collectives and 13 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Youth Union; 35 collectives and 23 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Youth Union for their outstanding achievements in youth union work and youth movements in 2015.
