Expanding the model of farmers participating in voluntary social insurance.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 13th, the Social Insurance and the Farmers' Association of Nghe An province held a conference to sign a cooperation program to implement social insurance and health insurance policies for the period 2016 - 2020.

Leaders of the two units signed a cooperation program.

The purpose of the coordinated program is to promote propaganda work and raise awareness among rural people about their rights and responsibilities when participating in social insurance; to create favorable conditions for members and farmers to participate in health insurance; and to strive to achieve 90% of farmer members having health insurance cards and 15% of rural workers participating in voluntary social insurance by 2020.

The leaders of the two units emphasized that the signing of the cooperation program is extremely practical and contributes to the implementation of social security policies, improving the material and spiritual lives and health of farmer members, and moving towards the goal of universal health insurance. They also highly appreciated the contents of the cooperation program, demonstrating responsibility and determination in its implementation, focusing on building and expanding models of farmers participating in voluntary social insurance; developing a system of social insurance and health insurance collection agents implemented by the Farmers' Association; and inspecting and monitoring the implementation of procedures and the settlement of social insurance and health insurance benefits to ensure the legitimate rights of farmers.
