Clothing store employee embezzles nearly 800 million VND.
As a store manager at The Blues clothing store, Phuc reported lower sales revenue than the actual number of clothes sold, with an initial estimated value of nearly 800 million VND, which he then embezzled and used for personal purposes.
The Economic Police Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police has served the decision to prosecute, executed the arrest warrant for temporary detention, and issued a search warrant for the workplace of suspect Vo Thanh Phuc (born in 1993, residing in Binh Sa commune, Thang Binh district) to investigate the act of "Embezzlement of assets"as stipulated in Article 353 of the 2015 Penal Code."
Initial investigations revealed that from January 1, 2018, to July 2024, Phuc, a store manager at The Blues clothing store (Hoi An City), a branch of Blue Exchange Co., Ltd. in Quang Nam, took advantage of his position to report lower sales revenue than the actual amount of clothing sold, with an initial estimated value of nearly 800 million VND. Phuc embezzled the entire amount for personal use.
The case is being further investigated and handled by the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Quang Nam Provincial Police in accordance with the law.
