On the night of October 16th, the Dong Vinh Ward Police in Vinh City received a report that at the home of Mr. Nguyen Van An, the owner of a gas cylinder dealership residing in Vinh Quang block (Dong Vinh Ward, Vinh City), thieves had broken into his safe and stolen 11,500,000 VND in cash and an Oppo mobile phone.

According to Mr. An's statement, while he was away, Nguyen Van Luong (from Hung Yen Nam commune, Hung Nguyen district), whom Mr. An had hired to live in the house and deliver gas to households upon receiving phone calls, was at home. However, when the money was discovered to have been stolen, Luong was not present at the house.

The suspect is Nguyen Van Luong.

Based on the information, after more than 7 hours of intensive investigation using professional methods, at 0:30 AM on October 17th, the Dong Vinh Ward Police in Vinh City tracked down and arrested Nguyen Van Luong while he was at a restaurant in the city. A search of Luong's person yielded an Oppo mobile phone and 11,500,000 VND in cash, which he had stolen from Mr. Nguyen Van An.

At the police station, Luong confessed that the money he earned transporting gas cylinders for households was not enough to cover his extravagant spending habits, so he took the key to his employer's safe and stole the money.

After taking initial statements, on the morning of October 17th, the Dong Vinh Ward Police handed over the suspect Nguyen Van Luong and the seized evidence to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Vinh City Police for handling according to their jurisdiction.
